clapp
design:
Piotr Kuchciński
2013
The collection is intended mainly for public interiors – offices, hotels, and also service, commercial and catering outlets, as well as residential interiors. Inspired by armchairs with wooden legs, so popular in the 60s (especially the ‚366’ armchair model by Józef Chierowski), the collection alludes to the design principle, though the form characterized by well-defined edges and distinctly overdrawn proportions of the wooden elements give it a very modern expression. This combination of vintage aesthetics and modern form, plus a wide range of wood finishes and upholstery materials, make the collection suitable for interiors of various styles and functionalities.
The Clapp collection has been awarded the Red Dot Product Design 2014 Award.
