BALMA & NOTI at Warsaw Home EXPO 2017 - our story
From 6 to 8 October 2017, for the first time, we participated in Warsaw Home Expo. That event was an excellent meeting place for Polish designers, design offices, artists and enthusiasts of industrial design as well as brand representatives and investors. The “Bye, Bye Office” exhibition which we showed at Warsaw Home Expo 2017 was a joint idea of BALMA and NOTI, and it was the outcome of the vast experience of the two companies as well as an expression of a strong belief that a modern workplace should guarantee all employees that they will find favourable conditions and job opportunities to work their way.
During this year’s edition of Warsaw Home Expo, a modern office designed by BALMA and NOTI obtained a special homelike character because of making use of the colourful upholstery of the soft furniture pieces, carpets, cosy lights together with plants and flower pots. This time we could say “good-bye” to the noise in the office thanks to our Soundroom - a new acoustic furniture system by NOTI. The design developed for NOTI by Tomek Rygalik enjoyed great popularity and our visitors loved the furniture equipped with loudspeakers and the subtle lighting.
In order to be effective, working in a modern office should promote movement. After all, we should take care of our health not only at home, but also at work. That’s why, at our “Bye, Bye Office” exhibition we demonstrated Balma PLUS System desks and a conference table with electrical height adjustments dedicated to promoting the sit & stand work style. Our visitors found the design by Wiktoria Lenart and Piotr Kuchciński absolutely amazing and they were thrilled to check the functionality of the particular pieces of the furniture right there.
The homelike character of the place was made possible thanks to using natural materials and introducing plants. Our visitors had a chance to get to know the SIMPLIC Collection enriched with legs from solid oak wood. The SIMPLIC round table was surrounded by a set of NOTI upholstered chairs coming from: Manta, Mamu, Tulli and Mishel collections. A large number of NOTI colourful furniture pieces made our exhibition vibrant and energetic. The visitors enjoyed relaxing both in a burgundy chill-out zone and a navy blue lounge. A velvet Manta armchair with a footrest, a comfortable LCD sofa, x40 lightweight poufs, and cheerful Rollo balls – all of that did contribute to a picturesque scenery which made the relaxation one of the kind!
With great enthusiasm, the visitors welcomed the latest project by BALMA – i.e. modular bookshelves available in two colours – white and black. It was their functional accessories, fine quality and stylish design that won the hearts of our visitors.
Apart from the presence of BALMA and NOTI at Warsaw Home Expo 2017, one of NOTI designers - Krystian Kowalski decided to show his own exhibition there. A wide-spectrum exhibition “Designing – Behind the Scenes” focused on the designing process and involved Nordic wooden chairs and Prism geometric seats.
At Warsaw Home Expo we also took part in some discussion panels run by Dominika Olszyna entitled “How to Build the Brand Originating from Poland” and “Relations between Designers and Producers”. The speeches delivered by Ryszard Balcerkiewicz (NOTI CEO and Founder of BALMA) as well as by designers such as Piotr Kuchciński and Tomek Rygalik encouraged to express and exchange opinions on conditions for creating in Poland, producing and building a brand famous even outside of Poland.
We wish to thank all of you for visiting BALMA and NOTI stand at this year’s edition of Warsaw Home Expo 2017.
