Harnaś Hotel in Tatra Mountains
2016
Harnaś Hotel, a tourist legend of the 70s, has come back in a new style in 2017. Its modernistic architecture, sophisticated design, and the magical nature of the Podhale region will capture your affections.
An investor appreciated the modernist foundations of the adapted building. "Holiday House" Harnaś was built in 1966-1969, designed by Leszek Filar, Przemysław Gawor and Jerzy Pilitowski. This is a one-bay building - the living part is located on the sunniest side. The idea of revitalization was to open a modernist block to the surrounding nature. Thanks to the numerous glazing used, among others glass balustrades of balconies, glazing of windows to the full height and width of the rooms - the whole richness of the magical Podhala permeates the inside of the hotel, and from each room and most bathrooms - you can admire the beautiful panorama of the Tatra Mountains. The black and white common space imparts a pleasant sense of luxury. Colourful designer armchairs and the green of the 70s are a reminder of the colourful past of the building. To increase the comfort of guests, the rooms are equipped with upholstered armchairs made of natural wool.
The investor also show appreciation for the cultural and artistic life of former years. The hotel interiors are decorated with a collection of one hundred unique prints of highly regarded foreign artists from the years 1965-89. In addition, with respect to the modernistic topography and the work of designers of the day, the original logotype has been preserved.
